    Self-application of the CCP model among socio-labor counsel-2 ing professionals: Evaluation of the impact on their careers and 3 social sustainability actions

    This study evaluates the impact of the professional career construction model (CCP) on 11 the professional practice of counselors and the social sustainability actions put into play in their 12 professional performance. A mixed methodology featuring a predominantly qualitative approach 13 is used to examine the employment situation and professional development of this group. Forty-14 eight socio-labor counselors from the autonomous community of Andalusia (Spain) participated in 15 the self-application of the CCP model. Subsequently, a questionnaire was administered via a dis-16 cussion group. The data analysis combines descriptive and qualitative procedures with the support 17 of computer software. Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis and tri-18 angulation techniques are used as methodological integration strategies. The resulting data are dis-19 cussed, later presenting a series of limitations and prospective of the study. Relevant conclusions 20 are provided about the impact of the CCP model on the professional careers of counselors is drawn 21 based on their satisfaction with the self-application of the model, their career progression and em-22 ployment status, and their self-perceptions of the social impact of their counseling careers. These 23 conclusions highlight the implications of the study regarding promoting the sustainable careers of 24 socio-labor counselors, enhancing their initial and continuous training, and facilitating their occu-25 pational actions in a complex and constantly changing society.

    Condicionantes psicosociales y perfiles de riesgo para el éxito académico universitario: validación de un instrumento para su exploración

    La presente investigación examina los condicionantes y aspectos psicosociales que condicionan el paso por la experiencia universitaria en el contexto de Ecuador, a través del diseño de un cuestionario el cual ha sido aplicado a una muestra de estudiantes ecuatorianos (n=1391). Se han estudiado las evidencias de su validez de contenido mediante una evaluación de expertos (n=30) con aplicación de índice Omega, y determinando su consistencia interna (AFE y AFC). Asimismo se identificaron perfiles de riesgo para la adaptación y el éxito académicos, a través de análisis de contingencia y de segmentación (CHAID). Como resultado, se ha obtenido un instrumento válido y fiable para conocer los condicionantes psicosociales y potenciales situaciones de riesgo para la prevención del abandono y fracaso académico, identificando perfiles de mayor riesgo, dentro de los cuales ocupan un papel relevante el género, la discapacidad, el desplazamiento geográfico, los motivos de elección y las expectativas previas.

    Motivational profiles, sociodemographic and conditioning factors in the professional careers of entrepreneurs

    The aim of this paper is to analyze the motives which are present in the decision to be an entrepreneur, in order to obtain motivational profiles according to diverse socio-demographic circumstances, paying attention to the previous experience of the subjects taking part. It has been carried out in the Spanish context from a quantitative approach via the survey technique (n=965), through a questionnaire elaborated “ad hoc”. The analyzes reveal that an important group of entrepreneurs started their businesses driven by vocation, motivated to achieve greater independence and better personal and professional development, thanks to putting their creativity into play and betting on innovation. The analyses reveal that a significant group of entrepreneurs started their businesses driven by vocation, motivated to achieve greater independence and better personal and professional development, thanks to putting into play their creativity and backing innovation. For those entrepreneurs who have started their businesses driven by necessity, their primordial aim is to get out of unemployment and achieve incomes in the framework of a context plagued by the lack of opportunities and job insecurity. These results offer a critical analysis of the influence of certain conditioning factors on the career.
