Resumen
The increasing knowledge and usage of English by the Spanish speaking community might have a consequence in the contemporary audiovisual translation trends. Is there a source culture or a target culture bias in present day dubbing? Is foreignization gaining ground over domestication in Audiovisual Translation The proposed paper intends to shed light on th e s e question s by means of a diachronic analysis of the translation strategies used in two fea ture films of the Star Wars saga, separated by a time frame of 42 years.
