Resumen
Apart from the presentation of the author and her placement in her sociocultural coordinates, the analysis of her works has turned around diferent elements arranged into two blocks: A first section regarding the most important thematic keys which deal with three concepts, namely, time, space and identity components. By studying the treatment of these elements I was able to cover a great deal of the multiplicity of variables inserted in Townsend's narrative. In turn, the study of the three of them has facilitated the extraction of a clear idea of how they all relate to each other. It is the attempt to systematize these connections which has been the greatest dificulty I had to face. A second section describing what I considered the main narrative components of Townsend's works and their analogies and references in the literary production of other authors. All this, complemented with a brief description of her method and approach to the diferent topics present in her pages.
