Resumen
In the realm of education, one persistent challenge revolves around the comprehension of academic texts, particularly among students in second and fourth year of Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO). The ability to decipher and internalize the complex language embedded within these texts is crucial for academic success and intellectual growth. However, the prevalence of specialized vocabulary within such texts often presents a significant barrier to comprehension for many students due to socio-economic backgrounds, language proficiency, academic performance, and classroom environments. . By recognizing this pressing issue, this study aims to delve into this challenge head-on by striving to bridge the comprehension gap and empower students to engage more confidently with the academic material they encounter. Beyond focusing on practical strategies and activities tailored to both audiences, we endeavor to equip ESO students with the tools necessary to navigate and comprehend academic texts effectively.
