Whilst studying my degree in English Language, Literature and Culture at the UNED, I found that one of the most stimulating aspects of the course was the correspondence between context and content in literature, and therefore decided that this would constitute the focal point of this study. Therefore, this project is related to the Master’s subjects of Sociedad y Cultura del Mundo Anglófono en sus Textos, Literatura e Historia, Literatura y Arte Visuales, and Literatura y Relaciones Transculturales, and the theoretical framework will include the premises of Critical Discourse Analysis, Cultural Studies, Gender Studies, and Postcolonial Studies.en
