dc.description.abstractLange galt die Dezentralisierung in Spanien als Erfolgsmodell und wurde in der parteipolitischen Auseinandersetzung nicht thematisiert. Insbesondere seit der Wirtschafts- und Finanzkrise hat sich die öffentliche Meinung über den Autonomiestaat jedoch gewandelt. Die allgemeine Vertrauenskrise in demokratische Institutionen hat auch das Modell des Autonomiestaates erfasst. Darüber hinaus hat die politische Krise in Katalonien zu einer starken Polarisierung in der Frage der territorialen Ordnung Spaniens geführt. Diese Tendenzen wurden von populistischen Parteien zum Teil erfolgreich genutzt. Im Text werden die Hauptmerkmale des Populismus im Hinblick auf den Föderalismus analysiert, um darauf die Position der Parteien in der spanischen Debatte zu untersuchen. Darüber hinaus wird der Frage nachgegangen, wie das föderale System Spaniens politische Handlungsmöglichkeiten populistischer Akteure einschränkt oder Opportunitätsstrukturen für populistische Akteure eröffnet.de
dc.description.abstractFor a long time, the decentralisation process in Spain was considered a model of success and was not an issue in party politics. However, public opinion on the autonomous state has changed, particularly since the economic and financial crisis. The general crisis of confidence in democratic institutions has also affected the model of the autonomous state. In addition, the political crisis in Catalonia has led to strong polarisation on the issue of Spain's territorial order. These trends have been exploited, in some cases successfully, by populist parties. This paper analyses the main features of populism with regard to federalism in order to examine the position of the parties in the Spanish debate. It also explores how Spain's federal system limits the political scope of populist actors or opens up opportunities for them.en
