Alejandro Sawa´s life and work have been recovered in the last third of the 20th century and now it is accessible to the public and have been analyzed from different points of view. Nevertheless, it had never been revealed that his narrative, especially his social novels, were written on the palimpsest of the passion and death of Christ. This work not only reveals the vital aspect of his literature, but also points out the degree of masonry which the writer was involved with and relates him with theosophy due to de many allusive details and symbology found in his stories. At first, it is provided a panoramic view of the many different faces of the figure of Christ acquired in the turn of the century literature and how it influenced Sawa´s work. Secondly, the study of the palimpsest of the Passion in the narrative of the author shows that it is a pioneering work. Finally, this research introduces the finding of two new literaturizations from the writer still unknown today which also brings light about the view of the image of Christ among the turn of the century writers.
