Resumen
Con el presente trabajo pretendo alumbrar las reales posibilidades de implantación y efectividad de las medidas de reeducación y reinserción social de las que disponen los centros penitenciarios españoles. Con el deseo de dar a conocer la tangible necesidad de esta figura orientadora para nuestro sistema penitenciario español más contemporáneo, se inspeccionarán teorías sobre la finalidad de las penas y se instruirá al lector acerca de la magnitud de los efectos negativos que la prisión puede ocasionar. Finalmente, se expondrán aquellos obstáculos limitantes del mandato constitucional de reeducación y reinserción social y qué medidas han tomado nuestras instituciones al respecto.
This paper trise to shed light on the real possibilities of implementation and effectiveness of the re-education and social reintegration measures available in spanish penitentiary centers. With the desire to make known the tangible need for this guiding figure for our most contemporary penitentiary system, theories about the purpose of sentences will be inspected and the reader will be instructed about the magnitude of the negative effects that prison can carry. Finally, the limiting obstacles of the constitutional mandate of reeducation and social reintegration will be exposed followweed by the measures which our institutions have taken in this aspect.
