This Bachelor’s thesis is divided into three main parts. The introduction presents the topic of dysfunctional family relationships as they appear throughout In Cold Blood by Truman Capote (1966), justifies its importance for the core of the book, establishes the objectives of this study, offers an insight into the current state of the question as well as into the most important bibliography, and sketches the methodology that was applied in this work. Being the second and most developed part of the analysis, the main body is divided according to the characters whose dysfunctional family relationships are described and analysed. The last sections are devoted to the conclusion and bibliography.en
