Abstract
En este estudio caracterizaré a la figura de Dido en Virgilio y en Ovidio. Los dos dedicaron un lugar para la reina de Cartago en sus obras y ambos han marcado gran parte del panorama de la literatura universal. Trataré de establecer las conexiones existentes entra la Dido virgiliana y tres de las heroínas trágicas de las letras clásicas. Además, también intentaré demostrar que esta es la base para entender a la Dido ovidiana.
This study will emphasize on Virgil and Ovid who talk about Dido throughout this piece. Both had a place for the queen of Carthage in their works, since they have left a mark on the panorama of world literature. I will try to establish the connections between Virgil's Dido and the three tragic heroines of classical literature. I will also try to show how this is the basis of understanding of the Ovidian Dido
