Abstract
This study aims to determine the optimal operating parameters for 3D printing with PLA filament reinforced with carbon fiber in the Ingelab3D laboratory at the University of Antofagasta. To define these parameters, a work plan was developed that included the design of temperature towers and experimental tests. Through these tests, the initial printing parameters that improve the quality of the produced pieces were identified. Tensile tests were conducted on specimens to determine which parameters provided the best mechanical results. The results showed that the optimal printing parameters were a temperature of 200°C, 60% infill, and a linear pattern, as they delivered the best mechanical properties. These results are attributed to better molecular-level interaction at this temperature, reducing the material's brittleness and allowing for greater elongation.
