Today and in the current of growing Digitalization throughout the industry and in particular in manufacturing sector (Industry 4.0), it is necessary to increase efficiency in other phases of the product life cycle, different from those that were already being carried out habitually, such as design and manufacturing, the incorporation of plant Digital Twins will allow the development of plant systems engineering to be brought forward to the design phase, significantly reducing the actual commissioning time. The development of the plant Digital Twin (DT) entails the incorporation of new Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems based on Mixed Reality (MR) devices that will radically change the way in which plant staff interact to manufacturing facilities. This project is framed in the context of a project granted to the ETSII-UPM in the FIRST CALL FOR AID FOR THE START-UP OF CLASSROOMS OF THE FUTURE IN THE DIFFERENT EDUCATIONAL CENTERS OF THE UPM. Entitled "Classroom of the Future at the ETSII-UPM". The fundamental orientation in these projects is to provide the university with new immersive educational media that facilitate knowledge transmission in different areas. The IE22.0505 Project focuses on these aspects, specifically financed by UPM's own funds, within the 2021-22 call for Grants for Educational Innovation and Improvement of the Quality of Teaching, of the Vice-rectorate forEducational Innovation of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
