Resumen
A lo largo de este estudio se llevará a cabo una investigación sobre el método Montessori y los beneficios que este puede otorgar a los niños y niñas con Altas Capacidades, en especial en la etapa de Educación Primaria. Por un lado, se llevará a cabo un estudio de la literatura disponible sobre la conceptualización de las Altas Capacidades, así como del método Montessori, buscando ofrecer una visión clara y objetiva del mismo. Por otro lado, este trabajo de investigación se compone de un estudio empírico que permitirá acercar la literatura a la práctica docente en los ambientes Montessori, a través de la observación directa de alumnado con Altas Capacidades en un centro educativo Montessori. Del mismo modo, se llevará a cabo una encuesta dirigida a docentes de distintas etapas educativas y distintos contextos educativos para tomar conocimiento de las distintas perspectivas que estos puedan aportarnos sobre el tema de estudio. Por último, se llevará a cabo un análisis de todas las variables consideradas, invitando a un análisis conclusivo sobre la idoneidad del método Montessori para los niños y niñas con Altas Capacidades.
Throughout this study, research will be carried out on the Montessori method and the benefits it can bring to children with High Abilities, especially in the primary education stage. On the one hand, a study of the available literature on the conceptualization of High Abilities, as well as the Montessori method, will be carried out, seeking to offer a clear and objective vision of it. On the other hand, this research work consists of an empirical study that will bring the literature closer to the teaching practice in Montessori environments, through the direct observation of students with High Abilities in a Montessori educational centre. Similarly, a survey will be carried out with teachers from different educational stages and different educational contexts in order to learn about the different perspectives that they can provide us with on the subject of study. Finally, an analysis of all the variables considered will be carried out, leading to a conclusive analysis of the suitability of the Montessori method for High Abilities.
