Publicación: Pinocchio en la gran pantalla: novela de aprendizaje frente a cuento de hadas. El enfoque italiano frente al americano

Resumen
El presente trabajo tiene como objeto analizar las adaptaciones cinematográficas de uno de los cuentos más populares y universales de la historia de la literatura, Pinocchio, por parte del gigante cinematográfico Disney y confrontarlo con las dos últimas versiones para la gran pantalla realizadas por sendos directores italianos: Begnini y Garrone. Para la realización de este trabajo se ha contextualizado el origen del cuento de Pinocchio y se han resaltado los principales temas que trata Collodi en su trabajo. Posteriormente estos temas se han analizado, tanto en la película de Disney como en las versiones italianas que han sido llevadas al cine en los últimos años. Finalmente se ha realizado un análisis comparativo de la visión americana e italiana del cuento, para examinar y contrastar los puntos en común y sobre todo sus diferencias. Los resultados del presente estudio muestran que Disney realizó una versión totalmente modificada para hacerla apta para los niños, como un cuento de hadas, ya que consideraba que el muñeco de la versión original no simpatizaría con la audiencia. Tras analizar las nuevas versiones del clásico realizadas por los directores italianos, sin embargo, se observa cómo ambos han intentado ser lo más fiel posible al texto original para mantener su objetivo de ser una novela de aprendizaje enfocada principalmente a los padres.
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the film adaptations of one of the most popular and universal tales in the history of literature, Pinocchio, by the film giant Disney, and to compare it with the last two big screen versions made by two Italian directors: Begnini and Garrone. In order to carry out this work, the origin of Pinocchio's tale has been contextualized and the main themes that Collodi deals with in his work have been highlighted. Subsequently, these themes have been analyzed, both in the Disney film and in the Italian versions that have been made into movies in recent years. Finally, a comparative analysis of the American and Italian visions of the fairy tale has been carried out to examine and contrast the points in common and, above all, their differences. The results of the present study show that Disney made a totally modified version to make it suitable for children, as a fairy tale, since it considered that the puppet of the original version would not sympathize with the audience. After analyzing the new versions of the classic made by the Italian directors, however, it is observed how both have tried to be as faithful as possible to the original text in order to maintain their goal of being a learning novel focused mainly on parents.
