The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), especially generative AI, has spread throughout our university communities, particularly among students for the development of projects, but it has also begun to be used by teaching and research staff as support tools for their research activities or even for assessment activities. Far from shying away from the use of these systems, we must look ahead, identifying the applicable ethical principles, that is, the criteria and guidelines that should guide the use of AI systems and related technologies and that will ensure their proper use from the perspective of scientific and academic integrity.
