This investigation is focused on the study and analysis of intetionality. The beginning is represented by Brentano and his revitalization of the concept of intentionality that was caused by his work. Different aproaches are reviewed in the study of intentionality to focus, specially, on the analysis carried out by Husserl´s phenomenology. The evolution of the concept within Husserl´s thought is examined in order to contrast his understanding with the understanding of Heidegger´s intentionality. Husserl proposes an immanent and idealistic understanding of intentionality that depends on an analysis of 'pure consciousness'; Heidegger raises an understanding of intentionality as the structure of the experiences placing it in the trascendence of existence and facticity pointed by the realm of being, questioning the possibility of an idealistic understanding of it.
