Interpretaciones y lecturas de un proverbio latino(CAM, 0140) Díez del Corral Corredoira, PilarThis article analyses the recurrence of the Latin proverb, “Sine Cerere et Libero, friget Venus”, in Hendrick Goltzius’ works of art. The number of times he depicted this aphorism during his lifetime is striking – at least twelve times documented – and speaks to his own perception as an artist. Traditionally, it was believed that Bartholomeus Spranger was the one who disseminated this topic in Mayor Arts, since he was the courtly painter of Rudolph II and because of his influence over Goltzius. This paper, however, offers an alternative view on the particular relationship between Spranger and Goltzius and how the latter was actually the driving force of this new fashionable topic.Publicación L’incenzo dei Coglioni. La sátira de Vieira Lusitano y el honor de la Accademia di San Luca(Carocci editore, 2022) Díez del Corral Corredoira, PilarThis article deals for the first time with a satirical print by Vieira Lusitano that derides in many ways his colleague the Spanish sculptor Felipe de Castro. The Portuguese seeks for the approval of his fellow artists at the Accademia di San Luca by using a vocative inscription. The print is a clear example of ‘gusto romano’ and presents colourful Latin inscriptions and also contemporary Italian satirical quotations. This study aims to shed some light not only on Vieira’s cultural models, but also on his until now unknown relationship with the mundane life of Rome.Publicación Felicitas Duplex: A Vieira Lusitano’s medal celebrating the Hispano-Portuguese double-wedding of 1729(De Gruyter, 2021) Díez del Corral Corredoira, Pilar; Díez del Corral Corredoira, PilarPublicación La raccolta raffaellesca di Felipe de Castro: sulle tracce del modello didattico agli albori dell’Accademia di San Fernando a Madrid(Sagep Editori, 2023) Díez del Corral Corredoira, Pilar
