Así, exploraremos algunos de sus antecesores y autores coetáneos: los Cartesianos, Ferdinand de Saussure, Leonard Bloomfield, B.F. Skinner, W.V. Quine, Steven Pinker y Lydia White. Estudiaremos algunas posibles hipótesis sobre el origen del lenguaje y también sobre la adquisición de la lengua materna y el aprendizaje de una segunda lengua, de una forma más detallada en los apartados de Steven Pinker y Lydia White.This essay is a statement of some contemporaneous theories to Noam Chomsky but also of some previous theories, which have had some kind of influence on him to claim and base the existence of the Universal Grammar (as a justification of the innatism in the faculty of language), and some contemporaneous theories. Therefore, we are going to explore some of his predecessors and coetaneous authors: the Cartesians, Ferdinand de Saussure, Leonard Bloomfield, B.F. Skinner, W.V. Quine, Steven Pinker and Lydia White.
