Resumen
La expansión de DAESH en los últimos años se ha visto frenada por las operaciones lideradas por la coalición internacional. Sin embargo, estas acciones no parecen ser concluyentes, permitiendo al grupo terrorista adaptarse al nuevo escenario y, así, garantizar su supervivencia. El nivel de ambición de la organización dependerá de las capacidades de que dispone y, estas, de los recursos financieros a los que tenga acceso. De este modo, la estructura logística que permite la financiación de DAESH será la columna vertebral sobre la que se apoyarán sus ambiciones de expansión. La lucha contra la financiación, comenzando por el control de las rutas de abastecimiento, debe estar liderada por los países colindantes al califato. Turquía, tanto por su relación con occidente como por su situación geográfica, se convierte en el centro de gravedad en el sustentar la lucha contra la financiación de DAESH.
The expansion of DAESH in the last years has been stopped by the operations led by the international coalition forces. However, these actions do not appear to be conclusive, allowing the terrorist group to adapt itself to the new scenario, and thus ensuring its survival. The level of ambition of the organization will depend on the capabilities available, and these, on the financial resources to which it has access. In this way, the logistic structure that allows DAESH’s financing will be the backbone where its ambition of expansion will be supported. The fight against financing, beginning with the control of supply routes, must be led by the countries adjacent to the caliphate. Turkey, both for its relationship with the West as by its geographic situation, becomes the Centre of Gravity in sustaining the fight against the financing of DAESH.
