Established in 1941 to coordinate the action of the Spanish Communists in the countries invaded by the Nazis, as France, or under Franco, Independent Spain Radio (REI) played an important role both in the political orientation of existing nuclei of militants and in the training and development of the Spanish guerrilla movement in these two countries. All this at the beginning within the framework of a strategy to defend the USSR, «homeland of socialism,» after its invasion by German armies.05202Ortiz Mateos, Antonio . ciudades griegas del sur de Italia durante
Before the contact with the Greek cities in
southern Italy during the war against
Pyrrhus in the IIIrd century b.C., the young
Romans had a kind of upbringing that was
a reflection of the agrarian society Rome
was at that time. Children were a guard of
the mother or the governess until they
were around seven. Then, the father took
charge of their training. The relationship
with Greece and its culture revolutionized
the traditional education system and the
home and honorable upbringing in the
charge of the paterfamilias, as Plutarch
said, (Quest. Rom. LIX) because «people
only taught the friends and the relatives»,
gave way to another one, given by
teachers and not valued by society at all.
The known school fresco found in the
House of Iulia Felix, in Pompeii, can serve
a guide in order to discover this world
through an image.06392Moro Ipola, Milagros . literatura se ha centrado
y social. Se ofrecen además noticias
inéditas sobre la etapa de formación de
este pintor en Madrid. In a historiography context where literature
has been primarily devoted to the analysis
of the academic structure, the change
from the guild system and the incidence of
the Academy in the professional career of
the artists need further studies. The
impact of the institution in provincial towns
and artists is still more unknown. Given
these premises, this article aims to explore
the incidence of the change of artistic
system in the case study of the local
painter from Córdoba Diego José Monroy
y Aguilera (1786-1856). In order to do so,
his training, work, institutional
commitment, social strategies and policies
of public image have been analyzed.
Furthermore, some unpublished news
about his academic training in Madrid
have been provided.08352Vigara Zafra, José Antonio . trayectoria artística de Martí Lobet a partir
The present study analyzes Marti Lobet’s
training and artistic career based on his
apprenticeship in the international style in
the cathedrals of Valencia and Barcelona.
The construction works of the last part of
the bell tower at the cathedral of Valencia
(1417- 1424) will elevate him to master of
the cathedral works (1428-1439). This
ensured the continuity of the characteristic
elements of the works begun in the 14th
century, like the tambour and the portal of
the apostles.05902Miquel Juan, Matilde .
