The new approach involves the IR spectra and carbon analysis of a Ti6Al4V strip treated with a surfactant and ester emulsion adjusted to pH 9.2 with 2-aminoethanol. The results are dependent on the ester and surfactant concentration. The analytical signals are the integral value of the CH2 and CO signals of the IR spectra and the carbon content. The main advantage of the proposed method is that the analysis made directly on the metal surface allows knowing the film forming ability of the emulsion. The method may be useful for research and development of more environmentally friendly water-based metalworking fluids for the metal industry.0232Benedicto, Elisabet, Rubio Alvir, Eva María, Carou, Diego y Santacruz, Coral . A Study of Nine OECD Countriesbibliuned:DptoEA-FECO-Articulos-Cruza-002Financial crises have devastating effects in terms of income inequality. The recent financial crisis has provoked that inequality within advanced countries has returned to the prevailing levels of a century ago. In this article we look at the relationship between financial development and income inequality from a comprehensive perspective. Our hypotheses state that not only financial depth through credit expansion or capital markets activity matter in terms of income inequality, but also the financial system resilience. We look at a group of OCDE developed countries during the period 2000-2015 and the results confirm that in terms of credit provision there is a point of until which income inequality improves, but beyond this threshold further financial deepening will lead to a reverse effect, in line with the "Too much finance hypothesis". The role of capital markets exerts a widening income inequality effect while financial system resilience helps in alleviating existing income inequality. We recommend regulators and policymakers to pay more attention to financial depth variables, the behaviour of financial intermediaries and the environment in which they operate.0682Cuesta, Marta de la, Ruza, Cristina y Rodríguez, José Miguel . An analysis of the conflicting relationships among the actors of the agri-food systembibliuned:FAC-CPYS-Articulos-Clozano-0004Background: Promoting healthy, sustainable diets has become an important social goal. Governments and businesses are increasing measures aimed at promoting a healthy diet. However, a variety of data indicates that a healthy diet is far from being attained. Scope and approach: Our principal thesis is that ‘conflictive’ relationships among actors in the agri-food system form one of the main barriers to achieving a healthy diet. We analyzed changes that have taken place in the agri-food system and how these affected the foundations of conventional models for food governance, enabling and giving rise to innovative forms of food governance. Then, we examined some of the initiatives developed by traditional actors in the agri-food system to address the demands of “more aware” consumers and explored the contradictory results obtained so far. Key findings and conclusions: Development of healthy, sustainable diets for all requires consensus among the different actors in the agri-food system. However, such a goal is not easy to attain within a framework of governance characterized by complexity, asymmetry, and conflicts among these actors. The conflicts are rooted in a disconnection between the needs and demands of consumers and the ways in which public and private actors deal with the requirements of “more aware” consumers. Promoting a healthy diet depends, to a great extent, on the creation of a framework of relationships in the agri-food system and different connections among the actors to replace the current conflicting ones.0762Cecilia Díaz Méndez y Lozano Cabedo, Carmen . A social and historical approach (Resumen)tesisuned:ED-Pg-SocCamSoc-CleoneIn our western culture disability is very often still meaning incompetence and inferiority. A woman with disability is frequently considered double inferior to everyone, being woman and having a disability, and being in the intersection of different kinds of discrimination. During last decades, at social and political level many things have transformed, and society changed even the words used to speak of or about disability, but nevertheless many questions remain unsolved and the fact that disability is either hidden or denied, or misrepresented, or misevaluated is a reality even now. The experiences of disability are missing from the general culture and very often an engendered investigation is lacking. This thesis aims to widen the existing knowledge on what is needed to improve the quality of life of women with disabilities, by analysing the gap between current legislation in Europe and in particular in Italy and the real life of people with disabilities from a gender perspective. Therefore, the objective of this thesis is to contribute to the literature on the well-being and quality of life of women with disabilities, applying an intersectional approach in empirical research and studies on gender inequality. The thesis argues the theory that women's voices would help better identify priorities and choose the most appropriate policies accordingly, as well as help discover the reasons behind the persistent condition of injustice, with the aim of ensuring more equitable and effective services and sustainable well-being for all. After a European historical and legislative overview and an analysis of the main models of disability that have followed over time, the thesis has been developed by analysing the Italian context where, despite the legislative and social progress in recent years, women with disabilities are still subject to discrimination and exclusion compared to other groups. Through a qualitative analysis, the research aims to deepen the real-life situation and the marginalisation even existing in Italy through the voice of women, offering an important perspective and food for thought to fill the gaps.0Doctoral Thesis4432Leone, Cinzia. <a class="citation_title" title="Click para ver : Women with disabilities in Italy.
