The systems considered in this work are dry, cold-compressed air, minimum quantity lubrication (MQL), cryogenic, and flood on turning of a new and relatively low explored titanium alloy, γ-TiAl. Therefore, the influence of machining parameters and insert type on tool wear, surface roughness, roundness, and cutting temperature have been investigated for each environment. Results detailed in this study showed a significant influence of the lubrication/cooling systems on the machinability of γ-TiAl. The study also revealed that the sustainability of turning γ-TiAl could be improved under the cryogenic system and the new EcoMWF, keeping the same machining performance as common mineral-based MWF.0332Benedicto, Elisabet, Rubio Alvir, Eva María, Aubouy, Laurent y Saéz-Nuño, María Ana . One working line is the substitution of conventional structural materials with lightweight materials such as metallic alloys of aluminium, titanium, and/or magnesium. For this reason, and considering that the number of related articles is lower than the existing number of other structural lightweight materials, it is considered very convenient and helpful to carry out a systematic analysis of their latest trends through Open Access literature. A methodology adapted from the PRISMA statement is applied, in order to guarantee unbiasedness and quality in selecting literature and research. The final selection is made up of the 40 most cited research papers from 2015–2020, with an average of 20.6 citations per article. Turning and drilling are the most trending machining processes, and there is particular interest in the study of sustainable cooling, such as dry machining, cryogenic cooling, and MQL. In addition, another trending topic is multi-materials and joining dissimilar materials with guarantees. Additive manufacturing has also been identified as an increasingly trending theme, appearing in 18% of the selected studies. This work is complemented with summary tables of the most cited Open Access articles on sustainable machining and cooling, multi-materials or hybrid components, and additive manufacturing.0282Blanco, David, Rubio Alvir, Eva María, Lorente-Pedreille, Raquel María y Saéz-Nuño, María Ana . The objective is to explore if there exists a non-linear relationship between the whole financial system development and a wide array of measures of environmental sustainability and degradation, namely adjusted net savings, greenhouse gas, CO2, methane, nitrous oxide emissions and ecological footprint. We define a new Financial Environmental Kuznets Curve (FEKC) by introducing the square term of financial development on the environment-finance relationship. Empirical results prove the existence of non-linear relationships between the composite index of financial development and environmental degradation for the group of advanced economies. In the case of methane, we validate the presence of an inverted-U shape association in line with the FEKC hypothesis, while for greenhouse gas and CO2 the link follows a U-shaped pattern. The impact of financial development on environmental sustainability is monotonically positive and statistically significant while the ecological footprint is not statistically linked with the level of financial development within G7 countries. As a sustainable alternative to mineral oil, esters have shown excellent performance during machining. Herein, the aim of this work is to investigate the influence of esters’ molecular structure in oil-in-water emulsions and their interaction with the surface to form a lubricating film, thus improving the efficiency of the cutting fluid. The lubricity performance and tool wear protection are studied through film formation analysis and the tapping process on Ti6Al4V. The results show that the lubricity performance is improved by increasing the formation of the organic film on the metal surface, which depends on the ester’s molecular structure and its ability to adsorb on the surface against other surface-active compounds. Among the cutting fluids, noteworthy results are obtained using trimethylolpropane trioleate, which increases the lubricating film formation (containing 62% ester), thus improving the lubricity by up to 12% and reducing the torque increase due to tool wear by 26.8%. This work could be very useful for fields where often use difficult-to-machine materials—such as Ti6Al4V or γ-TiAl—which require large amounts of cutting fluids, since the formulation developed will allow the processes to be more efficient and sustainable.0262Benedicto, Elisabet, Rubio Alvir, Eva María, Aubouy, Laurent y Saéz-Nuño, María Ana . The strategies used in the dierent territories dier with respect to their adherence to the objectifiable conception of quality, based on scientific-technical knowledge, or subjectivating conception of quality, based on tacit and practical knowledge. In this paper, we analyse the route taken by two territories with olive oil protected designation of origin (PDO) status in Spain to construct their quality model, the type of knowledge that has been applied and how knowledge processes aect the construction of sustainable quality models. This study applies a qualitative methodology based on participative observation and semi-structured interviews with key actors of the territories. The results indicate that processes of production, reproduction and dissemination of knowledge are basic pillars for the construction of sustainable quality projects. The degree of understanding of the objectifiable and subjectivating conception of quality in olive-producing territories and the interaction between them depend on the specific characteristics of the territory, the objectives set in connection to the olive oil quality method, the importance given to the dierent types of knowledge, and its standing on the issue of territorial sustainability.0682Farré-Ribes, Marta, Lozano Cabedo, Carmen y Aguilar Criado, Encarnación . This will lead to an applied learning- and teaching-enhancement-oriented sustainable Higher Education System. This research aims to contribute to that goal by analyzing student interactions in a collaborative learning community. It assesses the impact of visual tools on academic performance and student satisfaction in employment-focused blended studies, in which enrollees were geographically dispersed undergraduates with a diversity of profiles. A financial studies learning community was created to test students’ interactions in a model conducive to participation as visual content creators and users. Three surveys (pre-project, appraisal of classmates’ visual exercises, and post-project) were conducted to assess project impact. First, we used a univariate approach, focused on students’ characteristics, course and project appraisals, and the eects of the project on academic performance and expectations. Secondly, a bivariate approach was conducted to detect relationships between respondents’ appraisals and personal characteristics and to determine whether their mean scores were the same irrespective of such characteristics. The findings showed that: (1) Students’ preferences concur with those of their employers; (2) participation in innovative initiatives improves students’ perception of course procedures; (3) visual tools have a positive impact on learning, in terms of both academic performance and student satisfaction. The study concludes by providing support for educational institutions´ decision-making around courses and the overall curricula by defining the factors determining academic performance and student satisfaction.0682Martín García, Rodrigo, López Martín, Carmen y Arguedas-Sanz, Raquel . The novelty of the work is in proving that the repair operations of the multi-material components (magnesium–aluminum–magnesium) and the parts made of aluminum and magnesium (separately) but assembled to form a higher component can be done simultaneously, thus reducing the time and cost of the assembly and disassembly of this type of component. The study is based on a design of experiments (DOE) defined as a product of a full factorial 23 and a block of two factors (3 × 2). Based on our findings, we propose that the analyzed operations are feasible under sustainable conditions and, in particular, under dry machining. Also, the results depend on the machining order.0262Blanco, David, Rubio, Eva María, Marín, Marta M. y Paulo Davim, Joao . The modules, delivered during the academic year 2022-23, are part of the institution-wide language provision at Durham University, which means that students come from various disciplines different from Modern Languages. It is argued that this assessment model provides an effective way of developing and testing a wide range of skills (subject-specific as well as transferable) within a community of learners coming from different disciplinary and academic backgrounds. The assessment system we have used is based on the principles of flexibility and choice. Throughout the year, students build up a body of work where they record and reflect on the experiences of a person living in a country where the target language is spoken. The portfolio contains both formative and summative submissions, so that students can benefit from the feedback received for formative tasks to fine-tune their summative work. In this regard, the system involves a combination of assessment for learning and assessment as learning. Every submission integrates different language skills, as well as transferable skills such as decision-making, autonomy, creativity, critical thinking and intercultural knowledge. Besides adding authenticity to the assessment tasks, the development of these skills is aligned with the principles of education for sustainable development (AdvanceHE, 2021). At the end of the paper is an explanation of what has been learned from the use of this assessment system, as well as the aspects that could be enhanced and those that could be improved in future editions.0322Coderch, Marion . The proposed amendments to this triple-pressure steam-reheat combined cycle (CCC3PR) with 400 MW of net power incorporates a regenerator and thermal energy, from a source of renewable solar energy up to 50 MW, in order to reduce the energy loss in the gas turbine. The calculation and simulation models were created using Visual Basic code. Regeneration and solar hybridization were found to contribute to increasing efficiencies of around 2.25% to 3.29% depending on the loading point. The reduction of gas consumption was between 6.25% and 9.45% and the overall cycle efficiency loss is minimal due to hybridization. There was a loss of the net power of the new cycle but it is considerably lower if than heat from a renewable source is supplied to the cycle. This net power loss has an average value of 7.5% with regeneration only and of 1% with regeneration and hybridization. The reduction of fuel consumption is significant which could result in saving approximately 4 million €/year. Partial regeneration in the gas turbine and solar thermal power in the existing CCGTs provide an interesting possibility for reducing emissions (by 26,167 t/year). In conclusion, partial regeneration with solar hybridization provides an interesting and proven possibility to increase performance and efficiency whilst reducing emissions from the existing CCC3PR.0472Colmenar-Santos, Antonio, Gómez-Camazón, David, Rosales-Asensio, Enrique y Blanes-Peiró, Jorge-Juan . We studied tapping operations, an important operation in the assembly process, using cooling air with unreinforced polyamide (PA66) and polyamide reinforced with glass fiber (PA66-GF30). These materials are widely used in industry, but their behavior with respect to tapping has not been studied. We analyze the outcomes regarding the thrust force, torque, and power at cutting speeds between 15 and 60 m/min. The experimental tests were executed using cooling air at 22 °C, 2 °C, and −18 °C in dry conditions. The M12 × 1.75 mm taps were high-speed steel, with cobalt as the base material and coatings of TiN and AlCrN. To identify the more influential factors, an analysis of variance was performed, along with multi-response optimization to identify the desirability values. This optimization shows that the optimum for PA66can be found in environments close to 3 °C, while the optimum for PA66-GF30 is found at the minimal temperature studied (−18 °C). Thus, cooling air can be considered an adequate procedure for tapping operations, to increase the sustainability of the manufacturing processes.0242Domingo, Rosario,, Agustina, Beatriz de y Marín, Marta M. . This paper investigates the value of texts from social networks as a data source for detecting the spatial distribution of problems within a public transit network by geolocating citizens' feelings, and analyzes the effects some factors such as population or income have over that spatial spread, with the goal of developing a more intelligent and sustainable public transit service. For that purpose, Twitter data from the Madrid Metro account is collected over a two-month period. Topics and sentiments are identified from text mining and machine learning algorithms, and mapped to explore spatial and temporal patterns. Lastly, a Geographically Weighted Regression model is used to explore the causality of the spatial distribution of complaining users, by using official data sources as exploratory variables. Results show Twitter users tend to be mid-income workers who reside in peripheral areas and mainly tweet when traveling to workplaces. The main detected problems were punctuality and breakdowns in transfer stations or in central areas, mainly in the early morning of weekdays, and affected by density of points of interest in destination areas.0352Osorio-Arjona, Joaquín, Horak, Jiri, Svoboda, Radek y García-Ruiz, Yolanda . This species was reintroduced 30 years ago in the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park, Spain, and its population has since grown exponentially, reaching high densities in some areas. We tested the suitability of two complementary indicators: browsing damage on woody species and the percentage of moss cover loss on rocky outcrops. For this purpose, we used a mathematical approach to zone the natural protected area according to the historical presence of the species and established five different Iberian ibex pressure classes (Classes I–V). Our results showed a direct link between Iberian ibex pressure and vegetation status. Model predictions suggested 10% moss loss in the areas with low pressure (Class I) but 64% loss in the areas with high pressure (Class III), mostly due to ungulate trampling on rocks. Similarly, browsing damage increased with increasing pressure classes for different woody species. Low palatable plant species such as Pinus spp. showed little change in browsing damage for increasing ungulate pressure whereas more palatable plants (e.g., Erica arborea) showed significantly greater browsing damage variation across pressure classes (i.e., high sensitive to herbivory pressure). Both, moss cover on rocks and widely distributed palatable woody plants proved useful ecological indicators for monitoring ungulate populations in mountainous areas with a diverse array of habitats (e.g., rocky vs. woody). This methodology may help select the most suitable indicators for each type of ecosystem or dominant habitat in ungulate-dominated ecosystems.0272Refoyo, P., Peláez, M., García‑Rodríguez, M., López‑Sánchez, A. y Perea, Ramón . The objective of this paper is to analyse the long-term relationship between sectoral Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the EU27 under the framework of the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) theory. Previous research has yielded inconclusive results and presented various drawbacks, such as the omission of sectoral economic growth, poor data quality, and the use of methods that did not enable hypothesis testing. In contrast, this research applies the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) method to assess the EKC in the long-term for the industrial, service, and agriculture components of GDP for EU27 countries from 1990 to 2018 using audited data from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Despite a wide body of literature, this is the first research to investigate the EKC’s nature in sectoral GDP in the EU-27. The EKC theory has been confirmed statistically in only five countries. Nevertheless, the results imply that economic growth has a lowering impact on the environment in more than half of the EU-27, as the EKC theorizes. A high impact on GHG emissions is observed in the service sector of those countries that combined a high share of services in the national economy with weak energy efficiency performance in the transport and building sectors. Likewise, countries with major employment in carbon-intensive industry branches tend to show a long-term impact on GHG emissions.0292Martín‑Ortega, Juan Luis y González‑Sánchez, Mariano . Measurements from 3D Terrestrial Laser Scanner come in a point cloud, and different types of surfaces such as spheres or planes can be modelled. Due to the occlusions and/or limited field of view, it is seldom possible to survey a complete feature from one location, and information has to be acquired from multiple points of view and later co-registered and geo-referenced to obtain a consistent coordinate system. The aim of this paper is not to match point clouds, but to show a methodology to adjust, following the traditional topo-geodetic methods, 3DTLS data by modelling references such as calibrated spheres and checker-boards to generate a 3D trilateration network from them to derive accuracy and reliability measurements and post-adjustment statistical analysis. The method tries to find the function that best fits the measured data, taking into account not only that the measurements made in the field are not perfect, but that each one of them has a different deviation depending on the adjustment of each reference, so they have to be weighted accordingly.0302Bayarri, Vicente, Castillo, Elena, Ripoll, Sergio y Sebastián, Miguel A. . The new approach involves the IR spectra and carbon analysis of a Ti6Al4V strip treated with a surfactant and ester emulsion adjusted to pH 9.2 with 2-aminoethanol. The results are dependent on the ester and surfactant concentration. The analytical signals are the integral value of the CH2 and CO signals of the IR spectra and the carbon content. The main advantage of the proposed method is that the analysis made directly on the metal surface allows knowing the film forming ability of the emulsion. The method may be useful for research and development of more environmentally friendly water-based metalworking fluids for the metal industry.0232Benedicto, Elisabet, Rubio Alvir, Eva María, Carou, Diego y Santacruz, Coral . A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Studybibliuned:425-Lfilipa-0022Voice complaints associated with menopause have been reported by a substantial number of studies. However, to assess the clinical relevance of menopause to voice is still difficult as the extent to which menopausal symptoms are reflected on voice metrics remains unclear. A comprehensive review and meta-analysis were carried out to identify voice-related metrics that change with menopause and to quantify the magnitude of those changes. Academic Search Premier, Medline, SciELO, Scopus, PubMed, and Web of Science were searched without restriction of publication year until January 2020. Cross-sectional studies comparing voice-related metrics between pre- and post-menopausal women were included. Studies assessing effects of hormonal-replacement therapy were excluded. Datasets with more than one publication were also disregarded. Methodological quality of included studies was assessed applying the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale for cross-sectional studies. Given the heterogeneous nature of the primary studies, random-effects models were applied to pool the estimates. Eight articles were considered eligible for meta-analyses, assessing the effects of menopause on 6 voice metrics: mean fundamental frequency (fo), extracted from (1) speech and (2) from sustained vowel /a/; frequency perturbation measures (3) jitter, (4) shimmer and (5) noise-to-harmonics ratio; and (6) maximum phonation time. Both speech fundamental frequency and fo for sustained vowel /a/ were found to be 0.94 and 1.18 semitones lower in post- as compared to pre-menopausal women, respectively. Although significant, the magnitude of these decreases is below the just noticeable interval difference and well above the cutting point for distinguishing female from male voices. No significant differences were found for jitter, shimmer, noise-to-harmonics ratio, and maximum phonation time. The evaluation of acoustic metrics that reflect a single aspect of voice production at a time may conceal the effects of hormonal shifts during menopause. In addition, several variables interplay during voice production and acoustical measures may constitute weak predictors of vocal folds’ status, where changes associated to sex steroid hormones are most likely to occur.0562Filipa M.B., Lã y Ardura, Diego . We try to show how this justification varies according to the view on probability we adopt and the different ethical cases that can be made to sustain it. We will see that both the frequentist and the Bayesian approaches to the design of clinical trials are equally defensible on these grounds. We will defend that to be socially acceptable both approaches must meet an impartiality requirement, which is best served by the technique of randomisation.09202García Alonso, Marta y Teira Serrano, David . An analysis of the conflicting relationships among the actors of the agri-food systembibliuned:FAC-CPYS-Articulos-Clozano-0004Background: Promoting healthy, sustainable diets has become an important social goal. Governments and businesses are increasing measures aimed at promoting a healthy diet. However, a variety of data indicates that a healthy diet is far from being attained. Scope and approach: Our principal thesis is that ‘conflictive’ relationships among actors in the agri-food system form one of the main barriers to achieving a healthy diet. We analyzed changes that have taken place in the agri-food system and how these affected the foundations of conventional models for food governance, enabling and giving rise to innovative forms of food governance. Then, we examined some of the initiatives developed by traditional actors in the agri-food system to address the demands of “more aware” consumers and explored the contradictory results obtained so far. Key findings and conclusions: Development of healthy, sustainable diets for all requires consensus among the different actors in the agri-food system. However, such a goal is not easy to attain within a framework of governance characterized by complexity, asymmetry, and conflicts among these actors. The conflicts are rooted in a disconnection between the needs and demands of consumers and the ways in which public and private actors deal with the requirements of “more aware” consumers. Promoting a healthy diet depends, to a great extent, on the creation of a framework of relationships in the agri-food system and different connections among the actors to replace the current conflicting ones.0762Cecilia Díaz Méndez y Lozano Cabedo, Carmen . Among others, energy storage systems (ESSs) are emphasized because of their impact. This article discusses two essential aspects to take into account for an ESS, that is the regulatory framework and the economic aspect. In particular, it focuses on superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) in the Spanish electrical system. An analysis is performed on the legislation and regulations that apply to energy storage systems, which may affect in a direct or indirect manner its inclusion. This is accompanied by an analysis of the legislation in different countries to assess the situation in Spain in this regard, by comparison. Another point to take into consideration, which is crucial for the correct development and inclusion of this type of elements, is the economic viability- showing the costs of manufacturing and maintenance of these systems. Although it is necessary to keep investigating to lower the costs, economic benefits are appreciated, among other things, owing to the increase of the reliability of the electrical network. This increase of the reliability is resultant from a decrease of the cuts of service and the improvement of the quality of the energy.0412Colmenar-Santos, Antonio, Molina-Ibáñez, Enrique-Luis, Rosales-Asensio, Enrique y Blanes-Peiró, Jorge-Juan . This paper identifies the main determinants that aect GHG emissions growth and assesses their impact and dierences among countries in Europe. Previous studies have produced inconclusive results and presented several limitations, such as the lack of quality of the data used, the reduced identification of determinants and the use of methods that did not enable hypothesis testing. Conversely, this research identifies an extended list of determinants of GHG emissions, performs an in-depth statistical analysis and contrasts the significance of determinants using panel data and multiple linear regression models for the period 1990–2017 for the main Eurozone countries. The study found that GDP and final energy intensity are the main drivers for the reduction of GHG emissions in Europe. Furthermore, energy prices are not significant and heterogeneous results are found for the renewable energy, fuel mix and carbon intensity determinants, pointing to a dierent behavior at the country level. The uneven impact of the main determinants of GHG emission growth suggest that a dierentiated application of European policies at country level will enhance the eciency of mitigation eorts in Europe.0272González-Sánchez, Mariano y Martín-Ortega, Juan Luis . There are studies that analyze if the compensation contracts of directors reward managers in such a way that they strive to maximize firm performance and shareholders’ wealth; however, there are few studies on the social aspect of corporate governance, or agent–employee and principal–employee relationships. Thus, in this study, our aim is to test whether there is a causal relationship between the remuneration of the board of directors of listed companies and the personnel policies of the companies, expressed through the cost of personnel and layoffs. For that, we used a sample of Spanish listed companies, and we found that two performance measures (return on equity and earnings per share on market price) have a greater effect on the growth rate of board remuneration when layoffs occur. Additionally, we found that the sales revenue and cash flow on total assets subsequently influenced personnel management.0562González-Sánchez, Mariano, Ibáñez Jiménez, Eva M. y Segovia San Juan, Ana I. . The current socioeconomic and educational contexts derived from COVID-19 has led university institutions to develop methodological innovations in the teaching-learning process. Among these strengthening measures are the MOOCs, the most appropriate strategy to bring students closer to new digital platforms that favor the acquisition of knowledge. A methodological pluralism, combining quantitative and qualitative perspectives, has been used. The main results of the descriptive analysis compare the data of students enrolled in the MOOC, “Social and Health Care and Social Services in Social Work”, and other related bachelor’s and master’s degree courses during the four years analyzed. One of the conclusions is the emerging possibility of offering university studies that are more in line with the current teleworking market. The development of online methodologies favors the democratization of education, reaching the student body as a whole and universalizing content and learning. Among the main conclusions, it is worth highlighting the degree of satisfaction shown by the students who took advantage of the MOOC, and the training opportunities afforded by MOOC courses, during the time of COVID-19.0672Gómez Gómez, Francisco y Munuera Gómez, Pilar . In this paper we have considered the concept of disability as part of diversity and, above all, as a fundamental subject of human rights and justice, which has allowed us to include the collective of PWD among the stakeholders of companies. The research on the incorporation of disability as an integral part of the policies of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in companies is very recent, although the term Corporate Social Responsibility and Disability is already used. The main objective of this paper is to analyze the commitment with PWD of Spanish companies considered socially responsible by the sustainability indices used. We have included in four large dimensions (Stakeholders, Visibility, Human Resources and Accessibility) the indicators that have allowed us to analyze the information on PWD published by these companies in their sustainability reports or similar documents accessible through their websites. The results suggest that the companies are more concerned about improving their image towards the exterior than for the commitment with their own employees, which is consistent with the dimension Visibility being where the companies carry out more actions in favor of PWD.0692<a class="citation_author_name" title="Navegar por nombre de Autor de Segovia San Juan, A. A Study of Nine OECD Countriesbibliuned:DptoEA-FECO-Articulos-Cruza-002Financial crises have devastating effects in terms of income inequality. The recent financial crisis has provoked that inequality within advanced countries has returned to the prevailing levels of a century ago. In this article we look at the relationship between financial development and income inequality from a comprehensive perspective. Our hypotheses state that not only financial depth through credit expansion or capital markets activity matter in terms of income inequality, but also the financial system resilience. We look at a group of OCDE developed countries during the period 2000-2015 and the results confirm that in terms of credit provision there is a point of until which income inequality improves, but beyond this threshold further financial deepening will lead to a reverse effect, in line with the "Too much finance hypothesis". The role of capital markets exerts a widening income inequality effect while financial system resilience helps in alleviating existing income inequality. We recommend regulators and policymakers to pay more attention to financial depth variables, the behaviour of financial intermediaries and the environment in which they operate.0672Cuesta, Marta de la, Ruza, Cristina y Rodríguez, José Miguel . We live in times of severe economic crisis, in fact our industry is being largel yoyer whelmed by the productivity of so-called emerging countries, among which the «big yellow dragon» China, as more than a threat to countries west. Agricultural activity which over the last decades a progressive weight lost percentage in the volume of economic activity and employment levels can emerge in response to the evident crisis of the current industry and to carry out an activity generating sustainable a recovery well is a important as the productivity of the soil. This is reflected in a specific space, the town of Yecla and the municipality, a place where the industry engage in manufacturing upholstered furniture and for decades has been the engine of economic development relegating farming has maintained a level of sustained but low economic weight in the whole of this geographical area.06022Morales Yago, Francisco José . The European Union (EU), compared to China and the United States, is losing its capacity for innovation and control over data and fundamental raw materials and could even lose ground in the regulatory power it has in the digital realm. This paper pays special attention to the situation and progress toward a new European policy to achieve digital strategic autonomy. It also briefly outlines the Recovery Plan for Europe as a possible incentive for its promotion. Both descriptive and analytical methods were employed to gather the data from secondary sources and provide reliable research results. The major findings of this article are that strategic autonomy is an imperative requirement for sustaining and encouraging European integration, forcing the EU to advance faster toward developing critical digital technologies. There is also an urgent need to secure critical parts of supply chains and data protection, intellectual property, and defense against disinformation. Finally, the European Union must improve its resilience to face new crises and lead the digitalization of its economy.0622Benedicto Solsona, Miguel Ángel y Czubala Ostapiuk, Marcin Roman . While a state of emergency has been proclaimed to restore the public order disturbed by the attempted military coup, a constitutional modification, addressed to remove the parliamentary system, has been adopted under exceptional circumstances. The first question we considered in this paper is the constitutional practice of the state of emergency proclaimed, both in the perspective of the binding Constitution and the European Convention on Human Rights. Secondly, we analyzed the constitutional modifications, which appear very radical with respect to the continuity of the constitutional order, with respect to the time dimension of its effects, to the procedure adopted and the requirements of the rule of law. We finally asked ourselves whether such «new order»! is sustainable in a political organization conceived as a democratic State based on the rule of law and the respect of human rights.05442Kaboğlu, Ibrahim Ö. . de consolidación de un orden nacional en
la América portuguesa a partir de la
Independencia, introducida en la
perspectiva del mundo Atlántico de
profundas transformaciones en los
paradigmas políticos, teniendo como foco
la estructuración de las bases de una
nueva legitimidad monárquica
fundamentada en el constitucionalismo
moderno. Se defiende, por un lado, que la
recreación de la monarquía en el Brasil
conseguiría dar forma a un régimen que
tanto se adecuaba a las continuidades /
rupturas sociales como también invertiría
en una fuerte imagen de estabilidad y
orden interna; y por otro, que es
imprescindible que se entienda la
experiencia brasileña no como una
oposición, sino en sintonía con las
dificultades vividas en el resto de América
en la construcción de regímenes
representativos supuestamente estables. This article analyses the process of
consolidation of a national order in
Portuguese America since the
Independency embedded in an atlantic
perspective of deep changes in politics. It
focuses the build of a new monarchical
legitimacy according to the modern
constitutionalism. It points out, by one
hand, that the reinvention of the monarchy
in Brazil could sustain a regime well
shaped to the politics changes and based
in a strong image of stability and order; by
other hand, that the brazilian political
experience cannot be well understood in
opposition but in relationship with what
was happening in the whole America in
terms of the construction of new

However, the traditional spatio-temporal variogram estimator, which is commonly employed for these purposes, is extremely sensitive to outliers. We approach this problem in two ways in the paper. First, new robust spatio-temporal variogram estimators are introduced, which are defined as M-estimators of an original data transformation. Second, we compare the classical estimate against a robust one, identifying spatio-temporal outliers in this way. To accomplish this, we use a multivariate scale-contaminated normal model to produce reliable approximations for the sample distribution of these new estimators. In addition, we define and study a new class of M-estimators in this paper, including real-world applications, in order to determine whether there are any significant differences in the spatio-temporal variogram between two temporal lags and, if so, whether we can reduce the number of lags considered in the spatio-temporal analysis.0442García Pérez, Alfonso . Light nuclei, such as deuterium and tritium, undergo a fusion reaction that releases energy, making fusion a promising option for a sustainable and clean energy source. Tokamak plasmas, however, are prone to disruptions as a result of a sudden collapse of the system terminating the fusion reactions. As disruptions lead to an abrupt loss of confinement, they can cause irreversible damage to present-day fusion devices and are expected to have a more devastating effect in future devices. Disruptions expected in the next-generation tokamak, ITER, for example, could cause electromagnetic forces larger than the weight of an Airbus A380. Furthermore, the thermal loads in such an event could exceed the melting threshold of the most resistant state-of-the-art materials by more than an order of magnitude. To prevent disruptions or at least mitigate their detrimental effects, empirical models obtained with artificial intelligence methods, of which an overview is given here, are commonly employed to predict their occurrence—and ideally give enough time to introduce counteracting measures.0332Vega, J., Murari, A., Dormido Canto, Sebastián, <a class="citation_author_name" title="Navegar por nombre de Autor de Rattá, G.
