The links between Literature and History
are not only related to the creation of
social contexts for the literary analysis or
to the identification of new sources of
information for the historical research.
They also are connected with the way in
which literary texts take part in History as
well as with the similarities and differences
between the discursive representations
created by both disciplines. In this paper
we will use a genre called testimonio to
analyse these issues. Testimonio was
created during the 70s in Cuba and later
divulged by literary critics as a good
example to illustrate the proposals of new
critical tendencies such as Postcolonial
Criticism or Subaltern Studies. Testimonio
has been defined as a hybrid genre, a type
of literature created in the intersection
between different disciplines in order to
open a new space for the expression of
subaltern voices. This paper will discuss
the critical reception of this genre and the
difficulties of the attribution of authority in
testimonial texts, a question that could
determine its location between Literature
and History.05922<a class="citation_author_name" title="Browse by Author Name for Picornell, Mercè" href="/fez/list/author/Picornell, Mercè/">Picornell, Mercè</a> . desarrollo de la oposición al
franquismo durante la Postguerra en
Andalucía. En el presente artículo,
con el auxilio de las fuentes orales,
comprobamos que, a pesar de la
muy intensa represión, los latidos de
una muy debilitada organización
comunista replegada en la
clandestinidad no cesaron nunca. Se
descubre la sucesión de un ciclo:
represión/desarticulación/
reorganización... Así hasta enlazar
con los importantes refuerzos
llegados desde Francia a partir de
Our purpose has been to discover
the clandestine opposition to Franco
Dictature in the postward period
—from 1939 to 1949—. Oral
testomonies have been our most
significant source of information,
since clandestine Ufe didn't leave too
many written traces; as a security
measure. It's possible to affirm first
of all that in spite of the repression,
the Communist Party continued to
survive in a cycle: beeing pout out of
action and revival. Secondly, an
increased mobilization of PCE was
made possible by the arrival to
Andalusia of a very selected group
of Spanish «guerrilleros» who carne
from the European Resistence
Front. And finally, the PCE was able
to organize a Civil Front in
opposition to Franco Dictature,
between 1946 and 1949, with the
collaboration of several other
antifranquist groups.05482<a class="citation_author_name" title="Browse by Author Name for Lemus, Encarnación" href="/fez/list/author/Lemus, Encarnación/">Lemus, Encarnación</a> .
From the information given by the Epistle

we attempt to restore the system of
proportions used to build the martyrium
that Gregory plans to construct at Nissa

by this written source. As the Epistle
notes, the building must follow a greek
cross plan, with an octagon in the centre

following the regular parameters of the
Christian martyrial architecture of the time.05162<a class="citation_author_name" title="Browse by Author Name for Vidal Álvarez, Sergio" href="/fez/list/author/Vidal Álvarez, Sergio/">Vidal Álvarez, Sergio</a> . algunos de los puntos más destacados de
mi tesis doctoral. Brevemente, he
archivos. Pero la mejor herramienta de
trabajo ha sido el poder participar
activamente en la actual restauración de
las vidrieras, lo que me ha permitido
contrastar mis investigaciones basadas en
fuentes documentales, con las
apreciaciones observadas directamente
sobre los paneles, quedando bastante
clara la metodología seguida por los
vidrieros de finales del siglo XIX,
basándose, ante todo, en el respeto y
conservación de la vidriera medieval. With this article, I try to present some of
the most outstanding points of my doctoral
thesis. I have developed briefly the untiring
fight that maintained the architect Juan
Bautista Lázaro to recover the stained
glass windows of the cathedral of Leon at
the end of the 19th century, showing all
the tests made.
Then, I have focused my work in one of
the oldest and most representative show
windows, « the Tree of Jesse», (second
half of the 13th century) and explained the
restoration that suffered in the 19th
century, through information conserved in
different archives. However, the best tool
of work has been to have the opportunity
to participate actively in the present
restoration of the stained glass windows.
This has allowed me to support my
investigations on documentary sources,
with the appreciations observed directly on
the panels, being quite clear the
methodology followed by the glassworkers
of end of the 19th century based, above
all, in the respect and conservation of the
medieval stained glass window.08852<a class="citation_author_name" title="Browse by Author Name for Revuelta Bayod, Aranzazu" href="/fez/list/author/Revuelta Bayod, Aranzazu/">Revuelta Bayod, Aranzazu</a> .
