Several projects in the past several years have achieved promising results when combining human–robot interaction with standard techniques. Moreover, there are multiple screening systems for autism; one of the most used systems is the Quantitative Checklist for Autism in Toddlers (Q-CHAT-10), which includes ten questions to be answered by the parents or caregivers of a child. We present Q-CHAT-NAO, an observation-based autism screening system supported by a NAO robot. It includes the six questions of the Q-CHAT-10 that can be adapted to work in a robotic context; unlike the original system, it obtains information from the toddler instead of from an indirect source. The detection results obtained after applying machine learning models to the six questions in the Autistic Spectrum Disorder Screening Data for Toddlers dataset were almost equivalent to those of the original version with ten questions. These findings indicate that the Q-CHAT-NAO could be a screening option that would exploit all the benefits related to human-robot interaction.0402Romero-García, Rubén, Martínez Tomás, Rafael, Pozo, Pilar, de la Paz López, Félix y Sarriá, Encarnación . Different strategies, based on bulk approaches using bismuth oxide particles and bismuth (III) solutions, were assayed. The features of the modified electrodes were evaluated by differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV) of Pb(II) and Cd(II) solutions. The best results were obtained when bismuth was incorporated as bismuth oxide particles during the preparation of the PSS–CnP aqueous suspension used to modify the electrodes. Using this optimal modified sensor, the DPASV measurement conditions for Pb(II) and Cd(II) determination were optimized and their figures of merit were evaluated. Mea- surements were performed using two experimental approaches: the “drop method”, by putting the test solution on the surface of the modified SPCE, and the “immersion method” performed by immersing the device in a stirred test solution. The limits of detection (S/N = 3) were 0.27 μg L−1 (1.3 × 10−9 M) for Pb(II) and 0.10 μg L−1 (9.0 × 10−10 M) for Cd(II), using the “drop method”, and 0.029 μg L−1 (1.4 × 10−10 M) for Pb(II) and 0.012 μg L−1 (1.1 × 10−10 M) for Cd(II) employing the immersion procedure. The optimal bismuth modified SPCE was used for Pb(II) and Cd(II) determination in natural water samples with successful results.0252Maria-Hormigos, Roberto, Gismera, Mª Jesús, Procopio, Jesús R. y Sevilla, Mª Teresa . Methods: Studies were sought from PubMed, Web of Science; Academic Search Complete, Science Direct and Scielo. Databases were searched since 1st January 2000 until December 2012. Two reviewers screened titles and abstracts, and assessed full reports for potentially eligible studies. One reviewer extracted information on musicians’ characteristics, study methods and study quality. When possible a meta-analysis of pain prevalence estimates was performed. Results: A total of 18 studies were included in this systematic review. Studies assessed pain prevalence in general and the prevalence of pain affecting playing capacity for different time periods (point prevalence, one week prevalence, one year prevalence, month prevalence and lifetime prevalence). The prevalence of pain in general, across all groups of musicians and periods of interest over which pain was assessed varied between 29.0% and 90.0%, whereas the prevalence of pain affecting playing capacity varied between 25.8% and 84.4%. There was a tendency for guitar players to have the highest pain prevalence. The most affected body regions were low back (9.8% - 66.7%) and neck (9.8% - 48.5%). Conclusions: Pain prevalence is high among musicians, independently of the pain definition used. Health and educational policy makers should become aware of the high lifetime pain prevalence affecting performance practices, so that pain associated mechanisms are investigated and preventive strategies can be implemented and tested.0452Silva, Anabela G., Filipa M.B., Lã y Afreixo, Vera . First, the Conductor-like-Screening MOdel for Real Solvents (COSMO-RS method) was applied to select promising ILs absorbents and to understand the H2S gas solubility from a molecular point of view. The ILs screening more than 700 ionic combinations determines that H2S physical absorption is mainly controlled by the hydrogen-bond acceptor capacity of the anion, due to the easily hydrogen bond formation when mixed with the acidic solute. Based on molecular simulation analysis, 6 ILs of different nature were evaluated in a typical industrial packed absorption column using COSMO-based/Aspen Plus methodology. Equilibrium based simulations demonstrated higher H2S separation efficiency (i.e. lower solvent expenses and smaller equipment sizes) when increasing H2S absorption capacity of the IL solvent. In contrast, rigorous process simulation analysis (including kinetic equations) reveals a strong mass transfer kinetic control in the H2S absorption in commercial packed column, which severely limits the maximum H2S absorption given by thermodynamics. As a result, ILs that present the best performance in the thermodynamic aspect, become worse for the operation. In fact, it was found that H2S recovery at given operating conditions increases when decreasing the viscosity of IL, being 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium dicyanamide, the one that presents the best absorbent performance, requiring the lowest operating temperatures and liquid volume flows. Lastly, the absorption operation was designed to achieve fixed H2S recovery using different liquid/gas feed ratios, resulting in column heights and diameters inside the typical range marked by heuristic rules for usual industrial packed columns. In sum, current prospective study based on COSMO-RS and Aspen Plus have been proved as a useful tool to analyze the potential industrial application of ILs in the H2S capture and to select the most adequate ILs, before starting with experimental tests, highly demanding in cost and time.0382Santiago, Rubén, Lemus, Jesús, Xiao Outomuro, Ana, Bedia, Jorge y Palomar, José . Cortisol, the primary hormone of the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal axis (HPA-axis), may act as a biological transducer through which loneliness affects health. While most previous studies have evaluated the association between loneliness, as a unidimensional construct, and diurnal cortisol pattern, no research has examined this relationship discriminating between social and emotional loneliness in older adults. As sex differences in the negative mental health outcomes of loneliness have been reported, we also investigated whether diurnal cortisol indices and loneliness associations occur in a sex-specific manner. We analyzed the diurnal cortisol- pattern in 142 community-dwelling, non-depressed, Caucasian older adults (55,6% female) aged 60-90. Social and emotional (family and romantic) loneliness scores were assessed using the Spanish version of the Social and Emotional Loneliness Scale for Adults (SELSA). Five salivary cortisol samples were used to capture key features of the diurnal cortisol pattern, including: awakening and bedtime cortisol levels, awakening response (CAR), post-awakening cortisol output (post-awakening cortisol [i.e., the area under the curve with reference to the ground: AUCG]), total diurnal cortisol release (AUCG), and diurnal cortisol slope (DCS). After controlling for sociodemographic variables, the hierarchical linear multiple regression analyses revealed that in male older adults, higher scores on social and family loneliness were associated with elevated awakening cortisol levels, total diurnal cortisol output, and a steeper diurnal cortisol slope (DCS). However, these associations were not observed in female older adults. In addition, feelings of romantic loneliness were positively associated with bedtime cortisol levels and AUCG in older males. Multilevel growth curve modeling showed that experiencing more social and emotional loneliness predicted higher diurnal cortisol output throughout the day in older male adults. The presence of sex differences in the relationship between cortisol indices and loneliness among older adults holds particular significance for diagnostic and screening procedures. Combining loneliness scales as screening tools with diurnal cortisol measures has the potential to be an effective and cost-efficient approach in identifying higher-risk individuals at early stages0382Díaz-Mardomingo, María del Carmen, Utrera, Lucía, Baliyan, Shishir, García-Herranz, Sara, Suárez-Falcón, Juan Carlos, Rodríguez-Fernández, Raquel, Sampedro-Piquero, Patricia, Valencia, Azucena y Venero, César . Pain-induced changes in impulsivity can contribute to development of psychiatric comorbidities found in those with chronic pain conditions. The goal of this study was to determine whether complete Freund’s adjuvant (CFA)-induced pain manipulation enhances impulsivity in rats. Whether the pain-induced impulsivity is sexually dimorphic, and if mu-opioid receptors play a role in these processes. Methods Male and female rats were screened for trait impulsivity and designated as high or low impulsive using a delay discounting task. Rats then received a hind paw injection of CFA, and their impulsivity was assessed for 16 days. The effects of morphine on impulsivity were also examined. In a separate experiment, rats were pretreated with beta-funaltrexamine (β-FNA) to determine the role of mu-opioid receptors on impulsivity. Results CFA treatment increased impulsivity in males and females. The onset of CFA-induced impulsivity was faster in high impulsive females than males. Morphine blocked CFA-induced impulsivity in both sexes in a dose- and time-dependent manner. β-FNA prevented the actions of morphine on CFA-induced impulsivity in high impulsive males, but not high impulsive females. Moreover, β-FNA increased CFA-induced impulsivity in morphine naïve males, but not females. Conclusion These findings demonstrate unique sex differences in CFA-induced impulsivity, response to morphine, and the impact of mu-opioid receptors. A better understanding of cognitive deficits and their mechanisms can provide insight into the development of substance abuse and psychiatric comorbidities that occur in people with chronic pain.0322Espinoza Serrano, Nidia, Saputra, Samuel G., Íbias, Javier, Company, Matthew y Nazarian, Arbi . Different multivariate classification models were developed in order to differentiate PDO and non-PDO samples, using visible-near infrared spectra as fingerprint for each paprika sample. Sample treatment was not required. Principal component analysis (PCA) was applied in different spectral ranges: 400–2500, 400–800 and 800–2500 nm. In all spectral ranges, PCA was largely able to differentiate PDO from non-PDO samples. Partial least-squares - discriminant analysis (PLS-DA), PCA-linear discriminant analysis (LDA) and PCA-quadratic discriminant analysis (QDA) were used as classification methods in the different spectral ranges. All methods were able to differentiate PDO from non-PDO samples, with error rates (ER) lower than 0.15. The best models were those obtained with PLS-DA in the NIR range (800–2500 nm), showing ERs lower than 0.07 and error indexes (IERROR) (false positives) lower than 0.05.0312Monago Maraña, Olga, Eskildsen, Carl Emil, Galeano Díaz, Teresa, Muñoz de la Peña, Arsenio y Wold, Jens Petter . Considering this, the purpose of this study was to validate the Geriatric Anxiety Inventory (GAI) in the country. Method An analysis of the psychometric properties of the GAI was carried out, using a non-clinical sample of 301 older adults in the Metropolitan and Valparaíso regions of Chile. Older people were asked about anxiety, rumination, depression, well-being and sociodemographic data. Results An excellent internal reliability was obtained with a Cronbach score of 0.931. An adequate convergent validity was observed with the Depression scales (CES-D) (Rho = 0.549, p < .01), Rumination (RSS) (Rho = 0.618; p < 0.01) and Experiential avoiding (Rho = 0.485; p < 0.01). On the other hand, the discriminant validity of the psychological well-being scale presented a negative correlation of Rho = -0.699 (p < 0.01). Finally, and Exploratory Factor Analysis was made, revealing a one-dimensional model of the instrument. Conclusion The Geriatric Anxiety Inventory has very good psychometric properties measuring anxiety in elderly people, being an adequate instrument for the screening of anxiety on this population.0352Miranda-Castillo, Claudia, Contreras, Daniel, Garay, Karin, Martínez, Paula, León-Campos, María O., Farhang, Maryam, Morán, Javier y Fernández-Fernández, Virginia . First, by means of Conductor-like-Screening Model for Real Solvents (COSMO-RS) method, molecular simulations were conducted to select ILs with adequate thermodynamic (Henry’s law constants) and kinetic (diffusion coefficients) properties as acetylene absorbents, using N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) as benchmark industrial solvent for such solute absorption. Then, the operating units of acetylene absorption of an acetylene and argon mixture, and exhausted solvent regeneration were modeled in Aspen Plus. Simulations of absorption column using equilibrium based design model demonstrated that at least two ILs (1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium cation and acetate and sulfonate anions) present competitive solvent performance in acetylene absorption respect to DMF. In contrast, process analyses with a more realistic rate-based column model revealed that the mass transfer rate clearly controls the acetylene absorption with ILs compared to DMF, due to their viscosity differences. Finally, modeling solvent regeneration stage showed clear advantages of using ILs as acetylene absorbents since efficient acetylene recovery is achieved by flash distillation (vacuum pressure and temperature increase), operation hindered in the case of DMF due to is high volatility, requiring the solvent regeneration by a distillation equipment with higher operating and investment costs. Current COSMO-based/Aspen Plus approach has been demonstrated useful to perform preliminary analyses of the potential application of ILs in new separation processes, before starting with experimental essays, highly demanding in cost and time.0342Santiago, Rubén, Bedia, J., Moreno, D., Moya, C., Riva, J. de, Larriba, M. y Palomar, José .
