The report is in two parts: a literature review that identifies the main defining qualities of modern foreign languages teachers, and an evaluation of the professional and academic profiles of language teachers in UK higher education, as displayed in the institutional websites of the universities where they work. The analysis of the data collected corroborates the characteristics identified in the literature: the low status of teaching staff, the often unconventional entry paths into the profession, the prevalence of the “native speaker” construct as a desirable feature in candidates who aspire to teach the language, the disparity in qualifications of language teachers, and their low engagement in research activities. Future prospects involve the verification (or amendment, where necessary) of the data collected with accounts from individuals who work as language teachers.0232Coderch, Marion . se analiza la enseñanza primaria
y superior en el siglo xviii,
en una ciudad tan singular,
como lo fue Almagro en esta
centuria, donde llegó a ser la capital
de la provincia de la Mancha.
El trabajo está realizado,
especialmente, en base
a la documentación existente
en el Archivo Histórico Municipal
de Almagro, estudiándose
la situación de la enseñanza primaria
religiosa y seglar, así como
la superior y universitaria.
La enseñanza primaria religiosa
estuvo dirigida básicamente por
los jesuítas, que trataron pronto
de sustraerse a la obligación
contraída con el Ayuntamiento,
cuando llegaron a Almagro; Íes
relevaron en dicha obligación
los hermanos hospitalarios de San
Juan de Dios, que estaban muy
necesitados de ayuda económica,
por lo que aceptaron regentar
las escuelas primarias.
La enseñanza seglar estuvo a cargo
de maestros, que en la mayoría
de los casos ejercían sin titulación
alguna, generando un evidente
intrusismo profesional.
universidades menores. It is a question of a work where
the elementary and most top education
is analyzed in the 18th century,
in so singular city, since it it (he, she)
was Almagro in this century, where
it managed to be the capital
of the province of the la Mancha.
The work is realized made, specially,
on the basis of the existing
documentation in the Historial
Municipal File of Almagro, being
studied the situation of the religious
and secular elementary education,
as well as Superior and university
student. The religious elementary
education was directed basically by
the Jesuits, who tried to avoid each
other soon the obligation contracted
with the Town hall, when they came
to Almagro; they were relieved
in the above mentioned obligation
by the hospitable brothers of God's
San Juan, who were very needed
of economic aid, for what they agreed
to mange the primary schools.
The secular education was
a the expense of teachers, who
int the mayority of the cases were
practising without any qualifications,
generating an evident practising
professionally without qualifications.
Finally, there is studied the situation
of the teachers of Latinidad
and Grammar, which they were
preparing to the pupils to join
the Spanish universities, as well
as the situation that endured
the University of Almagro
in the 18th century, in evident
process of decadence, as other
many minor universities.07092Asensio Rubio, Francisco . As coopetition is usually studied from an inter-company perspective, this work looks in detail at the “ad intra” dynamics of the coopeting companies to understand how they adjust their organisation or implement organisational innovation to successfully adopt this original approach. Design/methodology/approach Using Eurostat data (CIS2014), this research offers a quantitative study on coopeting companies, relating coopetition to organisational innovation. The analysis technique used in this study is logistic regression with maximum likelihood estimation, where the dependent variable is the location of the coopeting companies. Findings The findings highlight specific characteristics and differences according to whether a company coopetes domestically or in other more complex geographic environments. It also incorporates variables into the analysis such as the use of price marketing, employee training and company size. Originality/value Our study provides insights into the relationship between coopetition and organisational innovation, in a research field that usually focuses on inter-company analysis. Several little-studied factors are included in the analysis, such as the role of employee qualifications and differences in coopetition in different geographic areas. We observe that, in certain locations, coopetition could be related to a “market entry” effect.0362Navío Marco, Julio, Ibar Alonso, Raquel y Bujidos Casado, María . sustitutivos generalmente encuentran bloqueos
importantes en sus transiciones
diversas a la vida adulta. En comparación
con otros jóvenes, acumulan más dificultades
psicosociales y rupturas con el mundo
familiar.
Youth who have been in social services care
often face important obstacles on their path
to adulthood. While they’re more prone to
psychosocial difficulties and to family discord,
Society demands they quickly become
autonomous and independent.
In order to better prepare youth for their
end of care, the Projet Qualification des Jeunes
(PQJ) has been implemented in four
youth centers in Quebec. Mindful of the specific
issues they face, the project’s goal is to
better prepare youth for autonomous living,
to increase their employability and to better
assist them after they leave care. According
to the project’s promoters, the targeted
population represents 10% of youth centers’
most vulnerable population.
In this article, we seek to present the lessons
learned regarding intervention and its
development. First, in light of the project’s
evaluation, we’ll present its intervention
model, and distinctive elements. Secondly,

Traditional predictors based on machine learning techniques can be very performing, if properly optimised, but do not provide a natural estimate of the quality of their outputs and they typically age very quickly. In this paper a new set of tools, based on probabilistic extensions of support vector machines (SVM), are introduced and applied for the first time to JET data. The probabilistic output constitutes a natural qualification of the prediction quality and provides additional flexibility. An adaptive training strategy 'from scratch' has also been devised, which allows preserving the performance even when the experimental conditions change significantly. Large JET databases of disruptions, covering entire campaigns and thousands of discharges, have been analysed, both for the case of the graphite and the ITER Like Wall. Performance significantly better than any previous predictor using adaptive training has been achieved, satisfying even the requirements of the next generation of devices. The adaptive approach to the training has also provided unique information about the evolution of the operational space. The fact that the developed tools give the probability of disruption improves the interpretability of the results, provides an estimate of the predictor quality and gives new insights into the physics. Moreover, the probabilistic treatment permits to insert more easily these classifiers into general decision support and control systems.0302Murari, A., Lungaroni, M., Peluso, E., Gaudio, P., Vega, J., Dormido Canto, Sebastián, Baruzzo, M., Gelfusa, M. y JET Contributors . To do so, an in-depth study is completed on compliance with the entrepreneurial obligation to inform and to train workers in occupational risk-prevention, in accordance with the regulations laid down in Directive 89/391/EEC, and transposed into Spanish Law in Act 31/1995, of 8 November, on Risk Prevention in the Workplace [Ley de Prevención de Riesgos Laborales (LPRL)]. Three questionnaires were designed and two discussion groups were organized with risk-prevention trainers and business representatives in the sector. Databases from various bodies were jointly consulted, specifically the External Prevention Services (EPS) and the Construction Labour Foundation [Fundación Laboral de la Construcción] (CLF), to establish both the weaknesses and the strengths of occupational risk-prevention training and the training systems of the firms in the sector. Having gathered all the information, the strategic indicators of training in risk-prevention were analyzed, such as the professional qualifications of the trainers, the training methodologies employed, and the training and information that the worker received on the job. The results showed that the majority of trainers in charge of training courses were not construction specialists, the training courses were not adapted to the training level of the workers and, importantly, the teaching materials were never in the other languages of the foreign workers. In conclusion, higher levels of professionalization are necessary for all the agents involved in risk-prevention procedures and construction processes.0422Romero Barriuso, A., <a class="citation_author_name" title="Navegar por nombre de Autor de Villena Escribano, B.
