of Barbanza.
Traditionally the research on Galician rock art had focused in the área
around Campolameiro (Pontevedra) where the biggest number of sites was
reported, whereas other zones to the North were almost unknown in that
respect. In this paper we deal with the new finds of petroglyphs in the
Barbanza, where intensive survey has multiplied the number of this tipe of
sites. The usual motifs are abstract (mainly concentric circles and cupmarks)
but also semischematic with representations of deer. The distribution
of the art is more dense in the coastal lowlands, though a number of
sites is reported in the passes leading into the high sierra and in this área
itself. As to the relationship with the roughiy contemporary settiements (lllrd
millenium BC), we have observed a definite pattern: cupmarks are sharing
the same space with the more densely Inhabited áreas down to the coast
and also they are found near to the mounds in the high plateau; animal
representations and more complex abstract motifs (concentric circles with
or without radius) are sited along small valleys or ridges that link the lowlands
and the upper reaches of the Sierra. All this patterning would point
out to the role of petrogliphs as a mechanism for defining the most resourceful
or symbolic places and the paths leading into them.07422Gil Agra, Lola and Concheiro Coello, Ángel . F. Maciñeira ¡n the first decades of the present century was unfortunately
not continuad until recent years, when new excavations with a modern
methodology, together with a reappraisal of the materials recovered by
IViaciñeira are throwing new light to the characteristics of the megalithic
burial in the far North of Galicia. In this paper we are dealing with the
analysis of the artefacts found in the mound 87th of Serra Faladora,
which in spite of its ruinous condition at the time of Maciñeira's discovery
might be possibly ciassified under the iabel of passage grave, though with
some remarkable features like the extreme eccentricity of the chamber
and the presence of a pit dug into the bedrock under the mound and filled
with stones and earth with traces of fire (fig. 2A). The material items
found in the disturbed chamber are very much in agreement with the
typical set of Galician megalithic grave goods: ground stone axes, flint
blades and pottery with simple forms and no decoration (figs. 3-6). However,
the mound 87th detaches itself from the local pattern because of
the number and variety of goods which is larger than usual. At the same
time, other features, like the absence of arrowheads, are in full agreement
with the pattern in the northern área of Galicia. In all, the mound 87th
seems to reflect, with some local traits, the spread of more elabórate
forms of megalithic burial in vast áreas of the Northwest of the Iberian
penisula around the middie of the 3"^ millenium b.C.05882Fábregas Valcarce, Ramón and Suárez Otero, J. . Mosaics depicting erotes and putti are frequent in Roman Art, particularly those presenting mythological subjects and also daily life scenes, fishing, hunting and circus races. However, most of them are related to aquatic contexts and maritime deities, focusing on the playful side of the images. In a mosaic from Carmona and in some others around the Mediterranean area and the East (II-V a.D) erotes, putti and pygmei are depicted when sailing or windsurfing over wine-amphoras. uno de sus momentos más álgidos con
motivo del triunfo de la Revolución de
Septiembre.
progresistas y republicanos. The discussion about Monarchy vs.
Republic reached one its most critical
points due to the September Revolution
success. In fact, in the wide coalition that
was to be formed (progresistas,
demócratas and unionistas) to dethrone
the queen and open a new period of
political reforms in the liberal sense, we
can recognize different ideas about the
most suitable government pattern that
should be established in the new regime
that came out of the revolution. Our paper
deals with the monarchic project
supported by progresistas against the
republican convictions, characteristic of
demócratas. The detachment between
both political forces and their particular
dialectics during the Sexenio Democrático
are illustrated through Praxedes Mateo-
Sagasta’s performance. This politician,
who was the keystone of the first cabinets
and Prime Minister with Amadeo de
Saboya, reached the point of embodying
the deep disagreement between both
Brotherhoods played a role of certain
importance in the configuration of the
archetypes of the practice and devotional
features of the piety of the period. The
case of Cantabria allows us to
demonstrate the quantitative
meaninfulness of these institutions,
together with their long life and capacity to
adapt themselves to different social,
political and cultural changes. In the same
way it seems clear their adscription to two
different pattern : one of «popular» origin
and typology and the other promoted and
controlled by religious elites. In the context
of this territory of Old Castile, they cannot
be seen neither as strongholds of a
popular culture (mainly expressed in foodrituals,
and other community
reinforcement signs), nor, in the other
side, as the magnificent instrument of the
process of confessionalization.06662Fonseca Montes, Josué . fauniques issus des couches solutréennes.
Several hundred faunal remains were discovered since 2005 in the Solutrean‘s level at Rochefort cave
(Mayenne, France). Reindeer and Horse are the main taxa identified and are the baseline of the Solutrean diet.
We present here the preliminary results of the faunal analysis and discuss the exploitation of these two main
taxa. A number of refits were possible. At the same time, the exceptional preservation of the artefacts together
with well-defined cut marks allows to reconstruct procurement and use patterns of these animals as
well as the season they were killed. Recently excavated and analysed Solutrean faunal assemblages are rare
which make the yet unreported Rochefort cave faunal assemblage even more important and unprecedented.05752Bemilli, Céline and Hinguant, Stéphan .
The vast Aterian civilization occupied the entire area of the modern Sahara, between the Nile, the
Senegal and the Maghreb during tens of thousands of years. Its tools are well known, which tend to become
smaller and lighter during the later phases in the Northwest (modern Morocco). Rigorously Paleolithic art is
now known from this period in Upper Egypt, dating prior to 23,000 BP (Huyge 2013). Its stylistic patterns are
identical to those of rare sites attributed to definitive Solutrean in Iberia, specifically when bifacial industries
arrived as the «Middle Solutrean». The Proto-Solutrean phases grouped under this term in fact belong
to Gravettian variants coming from Central Europe and were incorrectly interpreted. During its European
expansion, the Solutrean creates a clear break in the prehistory of Europe. Limited in its extremely western
part, it rapidly disappeared when the last Gravettians adopted ways of life and values leading to the expansion
and development of the Magdalenian.05672Otte, Marcel .
When we come to the issue of typically
nazi aesthetics, you can expect to have in

youth meetings, massive speeches in the

we obtain out of the analyses either of the
aesthetic practices and materials or the
texts and statements made by the main
responsible agents of nazi aesthetic
production.
We shall see along this article how most of
the nazi aesthetic outcomes were closely

The town of Alcañiz, in Aragon, is a good
example of the reforms that Renaissance
town plannings spread in medieval towns.
In this case, it is linked to the development
of the town Council, and the progressive
local independence from the Calatrava
Lordship, whose headquarter were inside
the castle. We have researched the
medieval town planning promoted by the
Calatravos since the repopulation of the
territory. It is formed by two lines of city
walls, one of which was unknown and we
have called it «the high wall». From the
medieval Council House, sited in the
Common Houses, a new model of
urbanism is developed, with new public
spaces like the Main Square, wider and
more regular street patterns and the
development of a more standarized way of
building that has co-existed with the
medieval quarters until the present days.032572Barragán Villagrasa, Juan José .
