dicho estamento.During the XVIIF century, the Galician
noble class —and principally the
hidalguía— has reached the highest
competence to control a considerable part
of the political and economic means of the
oíd Galician Kingdom, and, as a matter of
fact, there can be no doubt that we attend to
a period of prosperity of the «pazos'
civilization». To a great extent, this success
can't be completely understood without
paying attention to the models followed by
this social group when it comes to planning
their social reproduction, where the
household is the essential structure. In the
next pages we try to explain this social
reproduction model's inherent elements,
and, in the same way, the specific
significance (physical and inmaterial) of the
Both the old Galician hendecasyllable, typically
stressed on the 5th syllable, and the decasyllable with the same
accent have been traditionally considered utterly exceptional.
Nevertheless, the rhythmical experimentation carried out by the
Mexican poet Rubén Bonifaz Nuño resulted in the use of this
Galician hendecasyllable, systematically stressed on the 5th syllable
and combined with similar verses (mainly octosyllabic and
eneasyllabic) both in the same stanza and throughout the entire
compositions, even though the traditional meter for this type of
line was never entirely abandoned. Hence, it can be asserted that
Bonifaz Nuño has turned into usual that which had always been
exceptional.05252Martínez Fernández, José Enrique . of Barbanza.
Traditionally the research on Galician rock art had focused in the área
around Campolameiro (Pontevedra) where the biggest number of sites was
reported, whereas other zones to the North were almost unknown in that
respect. In this paper we deal with the new finds of petroglyphs in the
Barbanza, where intensive survey has multiplied the number of this tipe of
sites. The usual motifs are abstract (mainly concentric circles and cupmarks)
but also semischematic with representations of deer. The distribution
of the art is more dense in the coastal lowlands, though a number of
sites is reported in the passes leading into the high sierra and in this área
itself. As to the relationship with the roughiy contemporary settiements (lllrd
millenium BC), we have observed a definite pattern: cupmarks are sharing
the same space with the more densely Inhabited áreas down to the coast
and also they are found near to the mounds in the high plateau; animal
representations and more complex abstract motifs (concentric circles with
or without radius) are sited along small valleys or ridges that link the lowlands
and the upper reaches of the Sierra. All this patterning would point
out to the role of petrogliphs as a mechanism for defining the most resourceful
or symbolic places and the paths leading into them.07422Gil Agra, Lola and Concheiro Coello, Ángel . F. Maciñeira ¡n the first decades of the present century was unfortunately
not continuad until recent years, when new excavations with a modern
methodology, together with a reappraisal of the materials recovered by
IViaciñeira are throwing new light to the characteristics of the megalithic
burial in the far North of Galicia. In this paper we are dealing with the
analysis of the artefacts found in the mound 87th of Serra Faladora,
which in spite of its ruinous condition at the time of Maciñeira's discovery
might be possibly ciassified under the iabel of passage grave, though with
some remarkable features like the extreme eccentricity of the chamber
and the presence of a pit dug into the bedrock under the mound and filled
with stones and earth with traces of fire (fig. 2A). The material items
found in the disturbed chamber are very much in agreement with the
typical set of Galician megalithic grave goods: ground stone axes, flint
blades and pottery with simple forms and no decoration (figs. 3-6). However,
the mound 87th detaches itself from the local pattern because of
the number and variety of goods which is larger than usual. At the same
time, other features, like the absence of arrowheads, are in full agreement
with the pattern in the northern área of Galicia. In all, the mound 87th
seems to reflect, with some local traits, the spread of more elabórate
forms of megalithic burial in vast áreas of the Northwest of the Iberian
penisula around the middie of the 3"^ millenium b.C.05882Fábregas Valcarce, Ramón and Suárez Otero, J. . This report analyzes some relevant points about the cultural microcosm of a Galician Pazo (that of Goians). Its ideal situation, on the banks of the Ría de Arousa, provides an added value to this land with unique spaces such as a fisherie and a pier. Inventories of the household goods give a number of cultural indicators of the elite (books, games, artwork, musical instruments) and other factors, such as meals, can be studied thanks to accounting documentation. The Pazo reached its peak in the mid-eighteenth century coinciding with the successful social promotion of the lords of Goians and their children due to a combination of factors (family relations, wealth, marriages of convenience, a privileged education). The military careers of the subsequent owners forced them to move away and live wherever they exercised their jobs. This way Goians became a second residence, increasingly empty of life and furniture. In the 1820s, the building became just a property management center.05302Vázquez Lijó, José María .
This article discusses the search for
heritage contents in order to define
regionalist architecture in Galicia during
the first decades of the 20th century. The
context of this perspective is established
under a methodology similar to the one
used in the defense of the Galician culture
and self-identity. In architecture, this
process led to appreciate the folk’s
architecture and a-thousand-year tradition
of stone working in granite stone, to
admire Romanic and to discover the
singularity of the Compostela Baroque
style. Moreover, it is also examined the
importance of spreading the heritage
values so that the society could recognize
the elements coming from the traditional
style in the architects’ creations.06692Iglesias Veiga, José Ramón . These pollutants are compounds commonly used for plastic production as additives, as well as common plastic contaminants. The compounds selected were bisphenol-A, bisphenol-F, bisphenol-S, nonylphenol-9, nonylphenol, diethyl phthalate, dibutyl phthalate, di-2ethylhexyl phthalate, dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane, dichlorodiphenyldichloroethane, and dichlorodiphenyldichloroethylene. The parameters affecting the MSPD extraction efficiency such as the type of sorbent, mass sample-sorbent ratio, and extraction solvent were optimised . The proposed method provided satisfactory quantitative recoveries (80‒100%), with relative standard deviations lower than 7%. In all cases, the matrix-matched calibration curves were linear in the concentration range of 0.32-120.00 µg/kg, with quantification limits of 0.25‒16.20 µg/kg. The novel developed MSPD-high-performance liquid chromatography methodology provided good sensitivity, accuracy, and repeatability for quality control analysis in mussels.0582Cañadas Soler, Raquel, Garrido, Esther, Garcinuño Martínez, Rosa María, Paniagua González, Gema y Fernández, Pilar . El sistema democrático creado durante
