This paper shows a method for SMATV networks characterization witch it is possible to make a prediction about their behavior in all bandwidth. This method is based on the network simulation starting from the measurement and getting of S parameters of the specific devices of the mechanisms that integrate it. Simulations had been contrasts with measures of a real network showing great result and similar response. This method can be also use for teaching about these networks in depth.
