Abstract The Millennial generation is changing the way we learn by urging educational institutions to better adapt to the needs of youth via the incorporation of educational technologies. Based on this premise, we have reviewed key reports concerning the integration of ICTs in education, i.e. with the aim of showing how education is changing, and will change to meet the needs of Millennials with ICT support. The paper concludes that most investment has simply resulted in an increase of computers and increased access to the Internet, e.g. where teachers replicate traditional approaches to education and where e-learning is viewed as being complementary to face-to-face education. Although it may seem that the use of ICTs is not currently revolutionizing learning, it is facilitating the personalization, collaboration and ubiquity of learning.
