Abstract ThethirdGaiadatarelease(GaiaDR3)contains,beyondtheastrometryandphotometry,dispersedlight forhundredsofmillionsof sourcesfromtheGaiaprismspectra(BPandRP)andthespectrograph(RVS).Thisdatareleaseopensanewwindowonthechemo-dynamical propertiesofstarsinourGalaxy,essentialknowledgeforunderstandingthestructure,formation,andevolutionoftheMilkyWay. Aims.Toprovideinsight intothephysicalpropertiesofMilkyWaystars,weusedthesedatatoproduceauniformlyderivedall-skycatalogue ofstellarastrophysicalparameters:atmosphericproperties(Teff, logg, [M/H], [α/Fe],activityindex,emissionlines,androtation),13chemical abundanceestimates,evolutioncharacteristics(radius,age,mass,andbolometricluminosity),distance,anddustextinction. Methods.Wedeveloped theastrophysical parameter inferencesystem(Apsis)pipeline to infer astrophysical parametersofGaiaobjectsby analysingtheirastrometry,photometry,BP/RP,andRVSspectra.Wevalidateourresultsagainstthosefromotherworksintheliterature,including benchmarkstars,interferometry,andasteroseismology.HereweassessthestellaranalysisperformancefromApsisstatistically. Results.Wedescribethequantitiesweobtained, includingtheunderlyingassumptionsandthelimitationsofourresults.Weprovideguidance andidentifyregimesinwhichourparametersshouldandshouldnotbeused. Conclusions.Despitesome limitations, this is themost extensivecatalogueofuniformlyinferredstellarparameters todate.Theycomprise Teff, logg,and[M/H] (470millionusingBP/RP,6millionusingRVS), radius(470million),mass(140million),age(120million),chemical abundances(5million),diffuseinterstellarbandanalysis(halfamillion),activityindices(2million),Hαequivalentwidths(200million),and furtherclassificationsofspectral types(220million)andemission-linestars(50thousand).Morepreciseanddetailedastrophysicalparameters basedonepochBP,RP,andRVSspectrophotometryareplannedforthenextGaiadatarelease.
